Nonimmigrant Visa Issuance to be Temporarily Suspended in London

The U.S. Embassy in London is transitioning to a new web-based visa information and appointment service beginning in August.  The new service will replace the operator-assisted service that is currently in use and will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to make scheduling a visa appointment more convenient. t in London is currently scheduling appointments through July 26th but has extremely limited availability.  The visa unit will be closed Monday, July 29th, Tuesday, July 30th and Wednesday, July 31st to complete the transition.  No nonimmigrant visa issuance interview appointments are available for those days.
While the web-based system increases the hours in which nonimmigrant visa appointments may be scheduled, the nonimmigrant visa issuance process itself remains the same.  The paperwork requirements, varying fee schedule and lengthy Department of State application can be intimidating and confusing, especially for first time applicants.  It is often difficult to navigate all of the information contained on Consular websites and nearly impossible to obtain real-time responses from U.S. posts to questions that are not specifically addressed on each website regarding proper procedure.  However, failure to adhere to the guidelines required by a particular Consulate or Embassy can result in delays or even denials of an individual’s nonimmigrant visa application.
The Visa Services Division of Berardi Immigration Law can eliminate the uncertainty associated with the nonimmigrant visa process. Prior to submitting an application, we review and confirm specific post’s visa operations and particular application procedures.  Our highly trained staff is well-versed on the interview scheduling process and maintains the goal of securing an appointment as quickly as possible.  Our office works closely with the applicant to obtain relevant immigration history and background information so that there are no “surprises” at the interview.  In complicated cases, we work to address potential issues prior to submission.  Universal Visa Services ensures that the relevant forms are completed and submitted correctly and prepares clients on what to expect.
Whether you wish to schedule your interview in London or another U.S. Embassy or Consulate, contact the visa department at Berardi Immigration Law.  We are happy to guide you through the process, answer all of your questions and make the process a more enjoyable experience.
