L-1A Executives Receiving Scam Letters

Scam Alert Direction Sign - Green Arrow on a Grey Background.

A number of L-1A employers have recently reported receiving suspicious letters being sent to their L-1A executives. The letters use incorrect grammar and claim to be signed by Lori Scialabba, the Deputy Director of USCIS. The scam letter claims that the executives do not earn a high enough salary and must appear for an interview. You can view a sample of the letter here: Scam Letter

The American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) reached out to USCIS, which confirmed that USCIS did not send the letters. If you receive such a letter, please send a copy to [email protected], with the subject line “L-1A Executive Letter Scam.”

If you have recently received a letter from USCIS like the one described and are unsure of its authenticity, please reach out to one of our immigration attorneys for assistance.
