How Much Does it Cost to File a Waiver Application?

If an applicant for admission to the United States has a prior criminal history or immigration violation, they may be required to obtain a waiver before they can enter the U.S.  One common question we receive is how much it will cost to file a waiver application.
Currently, Customs and Border Protection (“CBP”) charges $585 (USD) to file a waiver application with the agency.  Bear in mind that this fee does not include other costs such as legal fees, fingerprinting fees to apply for your police certificate, or other agency fees to obtain criminal or immigration records.
If an individual must file a nonimmigrant waiver application, all grounds of possible inadmissibility should be included on the same form.  This allows our office to prepare one comprehensive document for submission to CBP with one filing fee.  Click here to view a short video on how previous criminal activity may affect your ability to enter the U.S.
If you have been refused entry to the U.S. or worry that you may be inadmissible due to a prior criminal or immigration violation, Berardi Immigration Law can help determine if a waiver may be appropriate for you.  Call us at 877-721-6100 or click here to send an e-mail.
