Employee Spotlight: PERM Paralegal Mary Lamancuso

Mary Lamancuso

Mary Lamancuso began her immigration career in 1987 as a legal assistant at a small, Buffalo-based law firm. Under attorney supervision, Mary was responsible for preparing and submitting various applications for immigration purposes, including H-1B, TN, and employment-based immigration and adjustment of status applications. She gained extensive experience in preparing and submitting applications for labor certification to the Department of Labor.

In 1999, Mary narrowed her practice to focus solely on the Permanent Labor Certification Application (PERM) process leading to permanent employment and permanent residency in the U.S. As a highly-specialized PERM Paralegal, she served a wide variety of clientele and industries including higher education, healthcare, information technology, finance and multinational businesses.

Of working in the immigration field, Mary says, “I gain a great sense of satisfaction in guiding employees and their employers through Step 1 of the Green Card, the PERM application. It is an honor to be part of such an important beginning for each foreign national and his or her family as they embark on Permanent Residency in the U.S.” Mary joined the Berardi Immigration Law team in 2013, where she continues to provide our clients with focused expertise on the PERM process.

In her spare time you can find Mary relaxing and enjoying the outdoors with her husband and two sons playing tennis, fishing, boating, hiking, skiing and snowmobiling.
