CARRIE CARNEY - Senior Paralegal

Carrie Carney has over 11 years of immigration-related experience. Ms. Carney graduated Cum Laude in Legal Studies from the four-year Bachelor of Arts, Legal Studies program at the State University of New York at Buffalo (SUNYAB) in 1995.

After obtaining her Legal Studies degree, Ms. Carney worked for the Immigration and Naturalization Service (now known as Customs and Border Protection and Citizenship and Immigration Services) as an Immigration Inspector at the Pearson International Airport in Toronto, Canada. In that capacity, she was responsible for determining eligibility of applicants for admission to the U.S. In 1997, she accepted a similar position in Cleveland, Ohio where she worked until 2000. Added responsibilities included conducting ship inspections, processing refugees, and acting as the Student Liaison Officer. A promotion to District Adjudications Officer gained Carrie valuable experience in conducting adjustment of status, naturalization, and removal of conditions (I-751) interviews.

Returning to the Buffalo area in 2000, Ms. Carney began working at a large multi-national corporate law firm. At this firm, Ms. Carney specialized in immigration law. Ms. Carney’s focus was on preparing employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions, and family-based preference petitions.

In 2006, Ms. Carney joined the staff of the Law Office of Rosanna Berardi, P.C. and currently holds the position of Senior Paralegal. Ms. Carney utilizes her more than 11 years of immigration experience to prepare nonimmigrant and immigrant employment-based petitions including TNs, L-1s, H-1B and O-1 permits. In addition, she is adept at preparing family-based petitions including adjustment of status applications, immigrant visa applications, and fiancée visas. Further, Ms. Carney prepares non-immigrant petitions with naturalization applications as well as criminal waivers.
